Ostrero works to grow the Circular Economy in Scotland through mindset change and education. We raise awareness of what the Circular Economy is and how it is vitally important to Scotland’s economic and environmental wellbeing through talks, workshops, consultancy and projects such as Yoyo Cups and Making Circles.

The pupils and staff absolutely loved the Making Circles workshop. They gained so much from it that will help them to use the Circular Economy ethos across their different subjects and the confidence built that day with pupils in different year groups working together was an absolute joy to watch - the teamwork, collaboration, great ideas. All so lovely to embed in our Faculty.

The project highlights the unique capacity of hands-on making experiences with materials to contribute to Learning for Sustainability in Scotland’s schools, supporting the next generation to develop the skills and thinking needed to respond to the Climate Emergency as well as providing opportunities to develop skills for life, learning and work.
MAKE-Learn Report
The Making Circles workshop was a very enjoyable experience for all involved. The pupils were able to learn a lot about their use of resources while working collaboratively and creatively. I would thoroughly recommend the workshop to other teachers. It is one of the best short programmes of work I have had the pleasure to be part of.
